I had this cutie come to my home for pictures, I hadn't seen her since she was a newborn! What a sweetie pie! She had so much personality and I do believe she will be musical like her mother! She loved her mother's singing, it was very sweet to watch.

First of all, thank you to everyone for their patience in waiting for proofs and sneek peeks. My website is halfway up, but is still in need of galleries and info. I have had a lot of family things going on, some good, some just very busy. During that busy time I had the joy, and I mean joy, of taking this little superhero's first pictures. I have soo many pictures of him smiling, he was such an easy baby to photograph! There are so many good pictures (because he was so calm), it was hard to pick out which ones to use for a sneek peek. Isn't she adorable? I was lucky enough to photograph this cutie at her Brookfield home for her 6 month old pictures, I am sure you recognize her from some other pictures on this blog:) She was so cheerful, it made my job easy!!

I am thoroughly enjoying a break here between sessions and busy life. I am working on new exposure techniques and studying more post processing techniques and I am loving it. I love it when a new part of the art of photography opens up to my mind, it feels like a new place to explore and make art. I truly do thank God for the gift of a creative spirit, it brings me so much joy!

These two never get in on the action, mostly because they don't sit still long enough! They don't really enjoy the picture thing so I don't torture them too often. I took these at the end of the summer and I was shocked when I opened them to see that my boys have grown so much! It has made me think about blogging again for the family. My girls pulled out the books that I made our past blogs into and I was very moved by it. Here is our history as our family, the history of their growing up years. I have decided that I really want to make sure and not miss capturing any more, I have missed so much already!! So back to the family blog it is! You may not be seeing too much of my own family on here, only clients. Signing off with one of the boys....

that is what we went on during this photo shoot, I'm not sure who had more fun, me or the children. I truly enjoyed taking a walk in the park with these two adorable children, the evening was beautiful with great weather and even better light! What a great family! One of my first clients ever came back for a family shoot and I am so glad they did!! They did a great job and I believe you can see the love this family has for each other through the pictures. That is what she is.... simply beautiful! She was probably the easiest, calmest baby I have ever had. I fell in love with her... That's what this young man can get in a game of bowling! I am in awe since I am the worst bowler, I even get sore from one game! I had a great time with this young man and his hip mom who owns a small cake business, I admire people who follow their passions so much! This pair fit into that category, they knew what they enjoyed and are following it! I know the future holds great things for this young man! This senior is the third girl from this family that I have photographed! I love this family, very fun, but very down to earth. This girl comes from a family of 9! You know things are going to go well during a photo shoot when the first shot turns out like this! I had a great time with this young woman and her mother, they were so easy going as well as up for all of my ideas, which I love! I enjoy meeting the seniors with all of their dreams ahead of them.

What a beautiful day and incredibly beautiful family! This man and woman are both widowers and both had wonderful family and friends that came to celebrate thier new union. It was such a privelege to be there to capture their moments!

I am behind in blogging, we are enjoying all of the activities summer has to offer. These two cuties came to see me a couple of weeks ago, they were so sweet. I could not get over older brother, he truly was one of the best 18 month olds ever! He actually posed quite well in a lot of the pictures! I have thoroughly enjoyed doing a photo shoot for the Women's Health Center's new website. It was such a privelege as well as something that I felt stretched me beyond my comfort level. The models were all great fun to work with!

A new Blog??!!!

I have decided to start a new blog. The new one is the official family blog that I will write my heart out about our family life. This current blog will stick to business items only. I really enjoyed receiving the book of our family blog from over the past year and would like to continue the tradition. It is a great way to journal the history of a family! I did not feel like I could get as personal as I wanted with the business blog. The new blog is http://gundrumfamily.blogspot.com. Feel free to stop over, right now it looks like this one, but soon I will be updating highlights from the year so far, my husband takes too many wonderful pictures documenting everyday life, that they need to be included and remembered!

Since I don't like to use the childrens's real names on the blog I will be calling them by the nicknames they have earned in our family. All of these names have come from their father, he has a thing for nicknames and somehow they always seem to be appropiate for the person!

Yes, the boys are yet to come, it is so difficult to get a picture of them. I had to wait to post up "Buddy" and "Roo's" picture, because "Buddy" had mouth surgery last week. I did not realize how swollen his mouth was until I put them up. They will come soon!

New official name

As much as I love the name in His image and at the time I thought I was very original in thinking it up, I have decided to stick with simple. My new name and logo is simply Mary Gundrum photography. There are so many companies now that go by the name in His image, that it was time to do my own thing. It also works with my domain name and will make it easier for people to find my website.

She's four!!

I cannot believe my princess is four years old! She is all about anything that has to do with princesses. We love her good natured personality! Her four year old Birthday was very special, especially watching all of the children wanting to get involved. Her sisters both made something by hand for her, J knit a purse for her and put nail polish and her favorite mini harmonica in it and B made a soft purple rose blanket. G was so upset that he did not have anything for his sister that he wrapped his favorite magazine for her. The picture of the two of them hugging is one I was so glad to capture and one I will cherish forever! Poor G was sick during the party, it seems someone always is at C's party. It is the time of year I suppose. The girls had decorated her room with sticker decals and new princess sheets and we surprised her with her "princess room" at the end. It was so fun seeing her joy!!

Just wanted to let you know that I have been working on a lot of details for the business. I should say "we" have been working on it, as my hubby has been very involved with helping get things together for the upcoming year. So things to look for in the near future are possibly a new website (with detailed info about sessions), new promos, and a new breakdown of how sessions and pricing are run. So if the blog is fairly silent, there is good reason, it is time to start finishing all of my half started projects!

I don't think I have ever had a time without diapers in our 12 years of marriage... ever. Wow, I have to think about that for a while. I am not sure if I am elated or upset about that idea. Maybe I will just settle with being grateful for the break...
